Nabila King, known by his stage name Nazz King, is a Ghanaian afropop musical artist.[1] In 2019, he won Rising Star Of The Year and Entertainer Of The Year 2019 at the 2019 Northern-Ghana Entertainment Awards.[2]

Early life and music career

Nabila King was born in Dagbon, Upper Northern Region (Ghana). He completed his high school education at Wataniya Junior High School in Savelugu. Nabila King started his music career at an early age as a performer at schools and idolized his favorite artists such as Akon and Fela Kuti.[3] It was in 2016 that Nazz King went on to establish his own record label by the name Nazz King Music Worldwide, with the aim of helping other artists to find their footing in the music industry.[4]

In 2020, Nabila King released a new song titled "Tonight", featuring talented crooner Boggy Wenzday and produced by Ojah Drums.[5] According to Nazz King, “Tonight” is a romantic tune that offers hope to love birds.[6] In August 2020, he later released[7] another collaboration with Yaa Pono titled “Heaven Full”.[8]

Philanthropy

In 2016, Nazz King introduced an initiative by which he would conduct community work in Italy.[9] This was conducted every Sunday, bringing people together to clean up the community. His work was recognized by one of the mayors in Italy (Joseph Pereraro), who recognized his efforts in the community.[10]

Acting career

Growing up and nurtured in a Cultural School, Nazz King realized his love and passion for creative arts. He later developed a love for acting and could, at his youthful age, write sample scripts.[11]

In 2015, Nazz King started his professional career as an actor as the only Black person in a well-known live TV show called “Da Nazareth Betlemme”, which featured other reputable stars in Italy with the group “Presepe Vivente di Gangi”.[10]
