Neil Emilfarb (born May 21, 1959 in Tashkent, USSR) is a US businessman operating in the construction industry. Emilfarb has completed several multi-million dollar construction projects globally and is currently president of Stratex Group. He also founded Construction LLC and Stratex Board Production. One of his most important projects is the purchase of Budva-based Marina, which is regarded as one of the largest American investments in Montenegro by the media in Podgorica.[1][2][3]
Early life and education
Neil Emilfarb was born in USSR in Tashkent, the capital and the largest city of Uzbekistan, which was at the time of his birth a part of USSR. In 1979, Emilfarb’s family emigrated to the US in 1979 and settled in Hartford, Connecticut.
Career and projects
Emilfarb's first entrepreneurial undertaking was an investment in a dry cleaning business in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986. Afterwards, he started working as an independent contractor for insurance companies and banks in this city.
The cornerstone for Stratex Group was set in 2002, when Emilfarb set up an Internet Providing company in Uzbekistan.
In 2006, he starts investing in Montenegro and helping the expansion of the region, especially with a 2014 investment in the Budva marina. The marina was purchased for about EUR 3 million, while the total investment planned for the development of the project is EUR 45 million. The global media suggested that this project could potentially “shape up Montenegro to rival Monaco”[4] and further contribute to the rise of Montenegro as a chic destination.[5]
Emilfarb opened Simplex International Construction LLC in 2010 and started growing an Abu Dhabi-based building and construction company, Stratex Boards Production LLC in 2012. In 2013, he purchased Technical Industrial for Laminating Sheets factory located in Mussaffah Industrial Area in Abu Dhabi.
