NetEnt AB, previously Net Entertainment NE AB, is a supplier of online casino software and games. It is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. The company is listed on Stockholm Stock Exchange (NASDAQ Stockholm).
History
The company was founded in 1996, originating from Scandinavia's land-based operator known as Cherry.[4] Following the ban on slot machines in Sweden, Pontus Lindwall founded Net Entertainment and convinced Cherry and Kinnevik to invest in the company. The two companies invested 75 million SEK and helped build a successful online gaming software supplier.
In 2000, Cherry acquired Kinnevik's share of NetEntertainment, making Kinnevik the largest shareholder in Cherry.[5]
In 2002, NetEntertainment sold the first CasinoModule to Expekt Casino.
In 2005, Cherry announced its division into three parts: Betsson, Cherry, and NetEntertainment.
In 2011, NetEnt launched its first mobile game.
In 2013, NetEnt's Cash module processed 12,300,000,000 transactions and its market share of the European online casino market was approximately 31%.
In 2015, NetEnt games[6] were available worldwide, in over 90 online casinos.
NetEnt games are available at Meridianbet Casino.[7]
Operations
NetEnt's headquarters is in Stockholm, Sweden, but the company has an international presence, with operations in Malta, Ukraine, and Gibraltar. There are over 500 employees.
Products
NetEnt's CasinoModule is a comprehensive gaming system including a full suite of quality casino games and a powerful back office.
Its games portfolio includes over 200 games, with a new game released monthly. All games have a high payout ranging between 95-98%.

NetEnt is also known for branded slots developed in partnership with Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, and South Park Studios. Frankenstein was their first branded slot (2011), followed by titles like South Park: Reel Chaos, Aliens, Dracula, and others.
