New Release Today, formerly New Release Tuesday (August 2002–June 4, 2015), [4] often abbreviated as NRT, is a music website based in Boise, Idaho, and is a division of NRT Media Inc.[3] NewReleaseToday.com is maintained by KMWeb Designs and features Christian music news, album and concert reviews, and "Behind The Song" articles with Kevin Davis. [1][3] In addition, the website also features "NRT Radio", "The NRT Insider", and "the New Music Updates", a bi-weekly podcast about Christian music. "the New Music Updates" are produced and recorded by Bill Lurwick, the "Voice" of NRT. [3]
The site was founded in August 2002 by Kevin McNeese, who is now the site's President and publisher, and also president of NRT Media, Inc. [3] Marcus Hathcock is the Editor in Chief of NRT and NRT's lead contributor is Kevin Davis. [3] The website's other staff contributors are Mary Nikkel (née Burklin), Sarah Fine, and Dwayne Lacy. [3] The website has an Event Coordinator/Photography staff member, David Holzemer. [3] The album review staff include Hathcock, Davis, Burklin, Fine, Lacy, Mark Ryan and Jonathan Francesco. [3]
Alexa currently ranks the website as the No. 92,898 most visited website globally and the No. 27,462 in the United States. [5] This website is similar to Indie Vision Music and Jesus Freak Hideout, which cover the Christian music scene, as well as books. [3]
