Is a small township in South Africa in Limpopo province Thohoyandou 18.6 kilometers away Thohoyandou. It’s under Vhembe district Municipality.Thulamela Local Municipality is the region where you can find Ngwenani ya themeli^[1]. It is also known as Ngwenani Yaha Themeli^[2].
The population at Ngwenani Ya Themeli^[3]is estimated -+6,254 people^[4]. this is according to a Census south africa^[5] done in 2011
Ngwenani ya Themeli has two regions the top part which is called Madimbo and the bottom part which is called Malima^[6]

Ngwenani Ya Themeli village was founded in the early 1950's. Ngwenani is next to place like Sibasa, Ngulumbi, Phiphdi and Ngovhela. The name Ngwenani means Crocodile. The name of the chief in  Ngwenani ya Themeli is Chief Themeli. In 2012 History was made at Ngwenani ya Themeli village when three chiefs (misanda) were installed during a ceremony held at the local chief’s kraal. The trio, Vhamusanda Vho-Albert Themeli, Mavhungu Themeli and Foster Themeli, will be responsible for the Thondoni, Tshitongwe and Madadani areas respectively. Their ndumis (assistants) are Nditsheni Themeli, Fhatuwani Themeli and Maanda Themeli. The regions will be headed by  different Thovhele. Tshivhase announced during the ceremony that a local senior traditional leader, Khosi Vho-Tshinyiwaho Mugowashango Themeli, was promoted to Thovhele and that he will head the Ngungwema Region^[7]. Nwgenani is in between two rivers going directions namely Muthsunduldi Mutshindudi River^[8] and Murara. People in ngwenani my their living by doing agricultural activities like planting crops and livestock

Ngwenani ya themeli is a village where you only find Tshivenda speaking people. The village is 100% venda People

Known People[edit]

Thendo Mukumela,^[9] Mukumela featured in all four matches his team played in the tournament. He scored the winning goal in their losers’ final match against Namibia, whom they beat 2-1. The local lads drew 1-1 with Namibia in the opening match. Their second match was against Germany, to whom they lost 0-3. They lost by the same margin to Ghana in their third match

Mulalo Sigogo from Ngwenani ya ha Themeli outside Thohoyandou was bitten by the art bug. Mulalo has been painting since 1996. She matriculated from William Themeli Secondary School in 2006 and enrolled for an LLB at the University of Venda, but dropped out in 2008. She graduated in fine art and visual art from Matongoni Art Academy in Thohoyandou in 2009.^[10]

Ngwenani ya Themeli’s Chief house (Musanda) is one of the acting houses of the local ’’Tshivenda’’ soap Muvhango^[16]^[17]. Which airs in SABC 2 ^[18]

Ngwenani ya themeli^[19] has soccer team that everyone there supports they travel with the team when ever they are play. The team is called Ngwenani young chiefs. ^[20].^[21] This is the team Where Thendo Mukumela started his footballing career before he was discovered my Mamelodi Sundowns F.C.
