Nicholas Howon Park (Hangul박호원; born 25 December 1974) is a South Korean attorney and the Chairman of the Global Board of Dentons.[1][2] He is also the senior managing attorney at Dentons Lee in South Korea, specializing in mergers, intellectual property, and entertainment law.[3][4]Nicholas is an avid cyclist and competed in the 2023 Paris Brest Paris completing with an 83 hour finish time.[5][6]

Career

Before joining Dentons, Park worked in the Strategic Management Team of the Doosan Group a company founded by his family and at Coudert Brothers, a U.S.-based law firm.[7] He later returned to South Korea and became co-managing partner at Lee International IP & Law Group. In 2020, this firm combined with Dentons to form Dentons Lee.[8]

Park currently oversees the Dentons Global Board, the Global Advisory Committee, and the General Assembly of the Verein as Chairman.[7][9]

Awards and honors

Park has received several awards and recognitions for his contributions to law and business:

  • Listed in Asian Legal Business (Thomson Reuters) Korea Super 30 (2022).[10]
  • Young Leader Award by Korean American Association (2020).[11]
  • Minister of Justice Award (2019) for promoting anti-hate speech initiatives.[10]
