Nick Thomm is an Australian Artist. He lives and works in Los Angeles, and has a second studio location in Melbourne, Australia.[1]
Career
Thomm was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. He studied graphic design at RMIT University, but dropped out to move to New York City and pursue his art career.[2]
Thomm's work was part of a public installation across the United Kingdom during the 2012 London Olympic Games.[3] In 2016 Thomm created a large scale mural for Miley Cyrus in her Los Angeles home.[2] That same year he exhibited in a group show at the New Museum in New York.[4] In 2021 Thomm’s large scale painting ‘Metamorphosis’ was added to the Moco Museum collection.[5] Thomm's video work was installed on a three story LED wall on Oxford Street, London in 2022.[6]
Thomm has also worked in the fashion industry. As co-founder and Creative Director of SRC783 Magazine, the publication was included in the National Gallery of Victoria 'Melbourne Now' exhibition.[7][8] In 2019 he produced his first fashion capsule collection in partnership with Selfridges.[9] Thomm has also created work in collaboration with Nike, Maybelline, Adidas and SoundCloud.[10][11]
