Life and work[edit]
Nicole Rubio first appeared in a supporting role in the 1990 action comedy Another 48 Hours. She also appeared in The Brothers in 2007 and in two episodes of the US dramedy Monk. She is probably best known for her role as the recurring character Paramedic Nicole in the US dramedy series Grey's Anatomy.[1] She has worked as a script supervisor since 1997, on films including Blade (1998), Training Day (2001) and Star Trek (2009), and on TV shows including Grey's Anatomy (2005-2016, over 200 episodes). She learned to direct on the set of Grey's Anatomy,[2] and has directed episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, and other TV series.[3][4]
According to Rubio, the peak of directing is "seeing all the magic the cast and crew are making come together on screen. "Blocking the scenes, then watching the fantastic actors do what they do best. It’s magical!" she commented directing the season 9 episode She’s Killing Me."[5]
