The Night Watcher is an unidentified burglar. He burgled from 2006 through 2018; the incidents have been described as unsolved. The burglar was described as having stolen more than £10m worth of items in violent raids and is still at large more than a year after his last offence. Some detectives believe that the unidentified thief was part of the military. The burglar would usually rob expensive watches and jewelry.
The story of the Night Watcher
First Offense
Late afternoon on Wednesday, November 12th, while Robert Stiff was away at work, his wife Catherine Stiff was at home along with their two daughters, who was known for running a boutique clothing store in Banstead. About half an hour later, at 5:45 PM, a man wearing a balaclava entered the house, breaking through the back of the six-bedroom home. He was described as carrying a sawed-off shotgun, which was never fired at the victims.
The burglar demanded that the victims lie on the ground. After doing so, the offender started kicking at the victims, bulging at Catherine's 24-year-old daughter. The burglar was carrying a black duffle-bag and took expensive rings and watches. The masked man, later dubbed the Night Watcher, left the home, leaving behind the three women in a state of shock and disbelief.
The burglar was linked to several other burglaries.
