Nina Laaf
Nina Laaf (* 1977 in Hilden) is a German sculptor
Life[edit]
Laaf studied from 2010 to 2017 at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe in classes of Silvia Bächli, John Bock and Harald Klingelhöller. She was a master student of Harald Klingelhöller from 2016 to 2017. Nina Laaf lives and works in Karlsruhe.
Work[edit]
Nina Laaf constructs large sculptures and room-sized installations from several small elements. She deliberately juxtaposes different materials, forms and colours. Her artistic forms are based on everyday objects, which Nina Laaf removes from their conventional context.
Laaf's large-scale installations often refer specifically to their exhibition site, and demand the participation of the viewer.
