Nirajan Pradhan (Born October 6, 1986) Nepali: निराजन प्रधान), is a Nepalese film actor, model, and television personality.[3][4][5] He made his debut as an actor by participating in Rashtriya Chalchitra Mahotsav (organized by Nepal Film Development Board). As an actor, Pradhan has starred as the lead role in films “Jaalo” (2018) and “Jaalo returns”, which is known to hold the Guinness world record for; “1 shot sequel movie”. As a model, he has worked on Paper and TVC advertisements for Worldlink, Redbull, Samsung Mobile, Ncell, Tvs scooter, and many more popular brands in Nepal.[6]
Early life[edit]
Nirajan is the son of Mr. Bishow Ram Pradhan (Father) and Mrs. Parbati Pradhan (Mother) and was born in Tanahun District, Bhimad-6, Nepal. He's the youngest among the five siblings of the Pradhan family.[7]
Career (2012- Present)[edit]
Nirajan career started in 2012, where he participated in [Rashtriya Chalchitra Mahotsav], organized by Nepal Film Development Board. His first music video appearance was in Dhuja Dhuja (2012) directed by Alokk Nembang.[8] He then entered the modeling industry, appearing in music videos like Timro Aafno Manchhe (2016) and Hey Gori (2017) which gained him recognition in the media. In 2018, his work in the song “Alag Alag”, won the Best Model Male (Moden &Pop), in the Nepal Music Award. In the same year, he was starred as the lead actor for the movie Jaalo and Jaalo returns (4-hour single shot sequel)[9][10] directed by Araaj Keshave Giri. He has then worked in more than 800 Nepali music videos and has modeled for advertisements of brands like Worldlink, Ncell, Redbull, Samsung Mobile, Tvs Scooter, San Miguel beer, Eco Sport ford, and Laali Noodles. His most recent work is Sarangi Retaula (2019), which had him nominated for Star International Awards; for Best Model in Modern Song.[11]
