Nitin Gakhar belongs to middle class family, from a city named Rudrapur of district Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand State in the Northern part of India. He started his political career during his school days.

He started his political career during his school days. He is an Actively participating member of the Indian National Congress and served such additional offices as the General Secretary of the Indian National Congress (Social Media Department) of district Udham Singh Nagar, Joint Secretary of the National Students Union of India of district Udham Singh Nagar and Volunteer in Indian Youth Congress.
