Noakhali dialect or Noakhailla Bangla (নোয়াখাইল্লা বাংলা) is a dialect of Bengali spoken by the people of Noakhali in Bangladesh and it also spoken by the people of Feni, Laxmipur, Chandpur, southern parts of Comilla, Sandwip of Chittagong, Hajiganj Upazila of Chadpur and some parts of Tripura state of India. It is considered to be a nonstandard dialect of Bengali language but it is the most famous Bengali dialect in Bangladesh. Many Bangladeshi dramas are being made in this dialect. Noakhailla dialect does not have any recognized grammar recording. There is no formal use of Noakhailla dialect in public, in courts, or in legislature like the existent standard Bangla. It stays as the dialect of the people of Greater Noakhali other regions of Bangladesh. The educated, elite, political and influential groups of Bangladesh bearing Noakhali homogeneity or being intrinsically exposed to the socio-cultural phenomenon of Noakhali usually prefer the standard form of Bangla for their wider communication and keep this dialect as their private means of linguistic exchange only with the people of Greater Noakhali region.
