Noctilucas (lit. Sea Sparkles) is a 2022 Uruguayan short film directed, written, and produced by Diego Alvarez Parra. The film explores themes of happiness and stars Enzo Vogrincic as Lucas and Alejandro Mata as Juan. Set against the backdrop of Uruguay's Ciudad de la Costa and Montevideo, the film premiered at the Madrid LGBTQ International Film Festival in 2022 and Detour Film Festival in Uruguay.
Plot
Lucas was in the state of leaving his birthplace, Uruguay, for another land in search of greener pastures. His plans were interrupted during his one-night stand with Juan, a Venezuelan immigrant. It became a story of happiness and how both were to achieve their ambition.
