NOOR TV UK (‘Noor’ meaning ‘light’ in Arabic)[1] is the Islamic television channel founded by the Islamic Sufi scholar Pir Muhammad Alauddin Siddiqui who was the second custodian of Nerian Sharif [2]

In 2006, in response what he saw as the biased agenda of the mainstream media against Islam[4], Pir Alauddin Siddiqui expressed the intention to develop a purely Islamic television channel, dedicated to the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaat barelvi[5]The channel comes under the umbrella of the Mohiuddin Trust. Noor TV began live transmission a year later.[6]
