Ntokozo "TK" Dlamini (born 8 January 1991), is a South African actor and businessman. He is best known for the role of Mastermind Maphumulo in the South African soap opera, Uzalo.

Early life and education[edit]

Dlamini was born on 8 January 1991 in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He is the eldest and has 3 younger siblings. His parents separated when he was young. He completed his primary education at Epworth School, Scottsville. Then he completed his secondary education at St Nicholas Diocesan School. Thereafter matriculated in Varsity College in Westville, Durban and graduated with a degree in International Marketing Management.[1]

After graduating from university, Dlamini acted in minor roles from 2012 onwards, in TV series, Rhythm City, Single Girls, Soul City.[2][3] In 2015, he was cast in SABC 1's long-running soap opera, Uzalo as "Mastermind Maphumulo".[3] He remained on the cast until in 2018, when he decided to focus on running his businesses and his new family.[4] He reprised the role in 2021 in the series' seventh season.[5][6] For the role, he was nominated under the Best Actor category at the DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Awards Awards (DSTV MVCA).[7][8]

In 2022, Dlamini joined the cast of Mzansi Magic's ongoing soap opera, DiepCity.[9]

Apart from acting, he is also a program host, where he hosted the "Mzansi Durban Hip Hop Awards" in both 2011 and 2012,[10] as well as hosted the 2011 and 2012 editions in South Africa.[citation needed]

Business[edit]

Apart from acting, he founded a company called "KZN Youth Development Expo".[7] He also owned the events company called "TKD Holdings" and a construction company called "Sokhulu D Constructions".[2][4]

Personal life[edit]

Dlamini started dating an actress, Jessica Nkosi in 2016.[11] The couple has one daughter, Namisa, who was born in September 2018.[12][13] They eventually held a traditional wedding ceremony on 23 December 2022.[14][11]
