Nungshibi Ahing (English: Sweet Night) is a 2008 Manipuri film directed by Homen D' Wai and produced by R.K. Chandrabal, under the banner of Diana Films.[1] It stars Hijam Shyamdhani, Baby Roshni, Kaiku Rajkumar and Laishram Binata in the lead roles.[2] Chana Lukhoi wrote the story for the film.[3] The movie was released at Hojai, Assam on 26 October 2008.[4] It was later theatrically released at Usha Cinema, Paona Bazar, Imphal. The film was shot in Manipur and Hojai, Assam.[5]
Synopsis[edit]
Set in urban Manipur, the film tells the story of a family where clash occurs between the traditional and new modern ways of living. This results in the family to turn upside down. The old man in the family, in search of peace, goes to the Meitei colony of Hojai, Assam where a student of him lives. He finds happiness staying there but the pang of separation with his granddaughter builds up. He finally returns home but a tragic event welcomes him.

Soundtrack[edit]
Sorri Senjam and Pee composed the soundtrack for the movie and Narendra Ningomba and Chana Lukhoi wrote the lyrics. The songs are titled Yengnaraga Noknaraga and Pupugi Thoibi.[6]
