Nyango Star is a Japanese drummer and mascot character, from Kuroishi, Aomori. As his name — "Nyan" (cat) + "Go" (last syllable of "Ringo", apple) — suggests, Nyango Star has a red, apple-shaped body with a cat-like face.
Careers[edit]
On 8th July 2015, Nyango Star created its YouTube channel[1] for his own drum playing shows. As his high-skilled drumming performance became renowned on the internet, he appeared in several nationwide TV programs.
He extended his activity area out of Aomori Prefecture since 2017[2], when he signed up with Being Inc. Nyango belongs also to CHARAMEL, a metal band composed exclusively by costumed characters, as drummer.

Originally Nyango Star was an ordinary white cat. Dead and buried in an apple farm, he was reborn as an apple fruit, but was rejected by his owner because of his unrecognizable transformation. The elder apple tree then told him to reach [[Holywood]] to return into the white cat he had used to be. Nyango believed it and started his musical journey.
