Obi Maduegbuna is a Nigerian-British actor.

Biography[edit]

Nigerian-British actor Obi Maduegbuna was born in Lagos. He is the oldest of three children. He relocated to London, England, after deciding to pursue a acting career.[1]

He received his acting training at the prestigious East 15 Acting School, where he graduated in 2013. He had additional training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), from where he earned a merit-based acting diploma. He is a voice artist and actor with classical training. In Lagos and the United Kingdom, Maduegbuna has appeared in a number of stage and screen ventures.

He appeared in "Inspector K" and "Rumor has it", two Nigerian web comedies from the second season. Chapters, a semi-biographical play by Obi, was produced and co-written by him. It was presented in 2019 and 2020 at the Lagos Theater Festival and Lagos Fringe.

He is also well-known for " Red Christmas" and "The Dutiful Wife" (2015). He recently appeared in the Temidayo Makanjuola-produced YouTube series "Money, Men & Marriage".[2] He also played the lead role in Dr. Sid's feature film debut, "The Order of Things,"(Toot) alongside Timini Egbuson as well as Ema Edosio's "Otiti".[3]
