Oh, the Places You'll Go! is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated adventure musical comedy film directed by Jon M. Chu, based on the book Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss.

A young adventurer goes on a journey through the joys and heartaches, and the peaks and valleys, of life.

Development[edit]

In the early 1990s, producers Ben Myron & Roland Joffé, at Lightmotive with Tristar Pictures, were set to produce a film adaptation of the book with Seuss penning the screenplay until the rights lapsed.[1] On October 1, 2020, J. J. Abrams and Hannah Minghella were set to produce an animated film adaptation of the book with Warner Bros. Animation.[2] On October 1, 2020, Jon M. Chu was hired to direct the film.[3]

On October 1, 2020, the film was set for release in 2027.[2]

Future[edit]

On October 1, 2020, the film is a part of the Seuss Universe, along with 2024's The Cat in the Hat and the 2026 spinoff Thing One & Thing Two.[2]
