Olaedo Ibe (born 12 February 1992) is a British gospel singer, songwriter and composer.
Biography
Olaedo Ibe is the 1st of 3 children born to parents from Nigeria. She was born in Southwark and was raised and schooled in London and Nigeria. She started singing at her father’s church, weddings, community events, school plays and stage plays. Raised in a strict home, where only gospel was allowed, Olaedo eventually developed an interest for Motown, Psalms and writing.[1]
Musical Career
She has shared the stage with Peabo Bryson and David Gest at Cadogan Hall, London 2006. Olaedo was a student at roundhouse and is a student at Singercise. She entered numerous competitions such as a Fred Jerkins UK talent scouting, Time2Shine and NaijaSings.[2]
Olaedo released her debut EP independently with Elegance Management May 2015. She released a music video for her debut single “Dust with Life (Foolish)” which premiered on her VEVO Channel [3] with no radio airplay. The music video was picked up by Yahoo! Screen as Editors Pick and Must Watch, with the music video displaying on their official site.[4] The EP “Shine like Gold” also received attention from MOBO’s[5] although the EP did not chart. Olaedo recently supported MOBO Award winning singer Rachel Kerr at Bush Hall, 2015. She is currently writing new material for her debut album.
