Old Streetonians Rugby Football Club
Old Streetonians Rugby Football Club are an English rugby union club formed in 1990 and based in East London. They are part of the Middlesex Rugby Football Union constituent body, playing their home matches at Hackney Marshes and training in Haggerston Park.[1]
Teams[edit]
The Club field three regular men's teams:
- 1XV play in the RFU's Counties 1 Herts/Middx
- 2XV play in the Middlesex Merit Table Premier
- 3XV play in the Middlesex Merit Table Division 3
In addition, a semi-regular 4XV, a Vets side and a Touring team which has visited Dublin, Sofia,[2] Bucharest[3] and other European destinations.
Notable matches[edit]
In 2018, Old Streetonians played out a 0–0 draw against former Premiership club, London Welsh.[4] Playing in unusually heavy rain and winds in East London, both teams failed to score as they competed for the London 3 North West league title.
