Oliver Micevski
Oliver Micevski (born 29 December 1980 in Skopje, FRP Yugoslavia) is a Macedonian theatre director. In 2012, Micevski founded the independent English language theatre "Theatre on the Roof" in Budapest and stages his performances with Oliver Micevski's Theatre Company throughout Europe.[1][2][3]
In 2017, Micevski directed Hitler and Hitler based on the play written by the controversial Russian author Konstantin Kostenko. The lead role was played by Christian Harting, known for his role in the Oscar-winning Son of Saul.[4][5]
He is currently directing Ant Street by Roland Schimmelpfennig which will premiere at the Théâtre Alexandre III in Cannes, France, as part of the 70th anniversary of the International Theatre Institute.[6]
Life and education[edit]
Micevski was born and raised in Skopje where he graduated in theatre directing from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Faculty of Dramatic Arts in 2007. After graduating, he spent two years working for Publicis, one of the world's leading advertising agencies. In 2009, he recieved a sholarship from the Norwegian government and enrolled at the Centre for Ibsen Studies at the University of Oslo for his Masters degree.[1][2]
