Olumide Idowu

Olumide Idowu is a Nigerian climate change activitist, policy expert,[1] environmental sustainability advocate,[2] and was named as International Youth Federation Regional Director for Africa by International Youth Federation in 2016.[1] He co-founded Nigerian Youth Climate Coalition; the International Climate Change Development Initiative, - a platform that identifies key environment-based issues that affect development across Africa;[1] Worldwide Local Weather Improvement Initiative[3] and Climate Wednesday.[4]

Education background[edit]

He studied Management at University of Abuja, Nigeria and he also holds a Bachelor of Statistics - University of Abuja, Nigeria.[5]

Achievement[edit]

He's currently the Youth Lead Author for Global Environmental Outlook of the UN Environment.[4] He was recently selected by the US Embassy in Nigeria for International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) where he spent almost 3 weeks in the United States learning the culture of the United States in the area of Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation.[4]
