OnBuy is an eCommerce B2C online marketplace, established in 2016 and headquartered in Poole in Dorset, in the United Kingdom. The website was created by online retail entrepreneur Cas Paton. [2].
History
OnBuy was founded in 2014 by Cas Paton.
OnBuy launched in November 2016. The company entered into partnership with PayPal for payment management and transaction security in 2018. [3] [4]. Growth for OnBuy has largely been in the domestic UK market, although the marketplace is open to global buyers and sellers.[5]
Recognition
In April 2020, OnBuy was recognised in a SimilarWeb report as the UK’s fastest growing business.[6]
In 2020, the company won the Retail Without Borders Marketplace Award 2020 for its approach to the established marketplace business model.[7]
