Onaji Stephen Onche [1] [2] [3] (born Onaji Stephen Chidiebere; 22 May, 1985.) is a Nigerian movie visual effect director and editor. He is Idoma from Adum Otukpa in Obadigbo Local government area, Benue State. Oshimiri[4] [5] [6] A Movie he edited and created visual effect in 2016, won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards.
Early life[edit]
Onaji Stephen was born in Otukpa, Benue State. His father Isaac Onaji, is a retired Nigeria Police Force officer. he has 2 sisters. He attended, Solid Foundation Nursery/Primary School in Oju Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. Excel Model Secondary School Wukari, Taraba State. His mother Onaji Grace is Igbo from Ohaozara, Ebonyi State
Career[edit]
Onaji Stephen entered into the Nigerian Film industry as a visual effect director in 2012 when he created visual effect in a Nigerian movie titled Idemili.[7] Idemili became a success and propelled him into the mainstream after winning best movie of the year 2014 in city people award.[8] He created Visual effect in the following Nigerian movies: Idemili, Blood is Money, Calabash, Seven rivers, Oshimiri, Oji river, Iwolo, Pot of Doom, 50 days with christ, Head of ijele, The Egg, Juju, Black Forest and The storm. In 2016, he won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Visual Effects Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many in the 12th Africa Movie Academy Awards. The movie that earn him the award is a Nigerian Movie shot in Asaba Delta state titled Oshimiri.
