Onijah Robinson

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Onijah Andrew Robinson is an American who gained global fame on social media after she traveled to Karachi, Pakistan, in a failed bid to meet and marry a 19-year-old Pakistani man who she met online.[1][2][3]

Robinson arrived in Pakistan on October 11, 2024, to marry 19-year-old Pakistani Nidal Ahmed Memon. Memon reportedly abandoned her, citing family opposition. Robinson refused to return to the US, initially sitting outside his apartment before moving to a shelter run by the Chhipa Welfare Association and was later admitted to the psychiatric ward at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.[4][5]

Onijah Robinson's presence in Karachi gained public attention in late January 2025 after Zafar Abbas Jafri of the JDC Foundation shared a video on Instagram about her, in which he stated that she had been left stranded for several days at the Jinnah International Airport. Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori stepped in to extend Robinson's expired visa on a humanitarian basis, and a ticket to fly back to the United States was provided to her, which she refused to fly on.[6]

Social worker Ramzan Chhipa held a press conference and appealed to Memon to come to the Chhipa Welfare Association headquarters, where Robinson was staying, to resolve matters with her.[6]

She eventually left Pakistan on February 7, 2025, on a flight back to New York City via Dubai, after spending over three months in Karachi.[5]
