Onur Group is a Turkish construction and contracting transport, trade and industrial joint-stock company, operating in 13 countries and carrying out construction and repair of highways and bridges. It operates in green energy, mining and quarrying, production of concrete, reinforced concrete structures, woodworking, transport, real estate and hospitality. The company is owned by Onur Çetinceviz and Ihsan Çetinceviz.[1]
Onur Group has completed over 1,200 projects and built over 9,500 km of roads worldwide. In total, the company employs over 10,000 people.
The main representative office of the company is located in Ankara, Turkey, with the second largest representative office in Lviv, Ukraine. Onur Group has been operating in Ukraine since 2004. CEO of Onur Group Ukraine is Emre Karaahmetoglu.
History
The first company was founded in the early 1980s under the name Çetin İşletmeleri and initially engaged in contracting work. Later, Onur and İhsan Çetinçeviz founded a second company, ONUR Taahhut İnşaat (in English: “Onur Contracting and Construction”) in 1991.[2] The company's first international project was the construction of a road in Croatia in 2002–2004.[3]
Onur Group has also implemented projects in Croatia, Ukraine, Tunisia, Moldova, Oman, Equatorial Guinea and Turkmenistan, and maintains operations in some of these countries. In 2004, the company entered the Ukrainian market under the name Onur Construction International. In the same year, the implementation of the project to reconstruct the M05 highway (Kyiv-Odesa) began.[4]
In 2007, the company entered the markets of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia. In 2009, Onur Group began operations in Turkmenistan and Cyprus; in the same year, the company entered the ENR Top 250 for the first time. In 2022, the company ranked 82nd in the ENR ranking.
In the late 2000s, Onur Group emerged as one of the largest Turkish road construction companies. In 2010, the company entered the Oman market. In 2011, Onur Group began implementing projects in Equatorial Guinea. In 2012, the company began operations in Moldova. In 2013, Onur Group entered the Qatar market.
In 2014, the company signed a contract for the maintenance of the Kyiv-Chop highway.[5] In the same year, Onur Group began the restoration of the road and the construction of tram tracks in Lviv.[6] In 2020, the company began construction of a bridge across the Dnieper River in Zaporizhia.[7]
In 2024, a photograph of the construction of the Irpin Bridge by Onur Group Ukraine became one of the winners of the international ENR 2024 Year in Construction Photo Contest.[8][9] In December, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the CEO of Onur Group in Ukraine, Emre Karaahmetoglu, with the Order of Merit, 3rd degree.[10]
In the same year, the company was included in the list of the largest private companies in Ukraine according to Forbes.[11]
In March 2025, the company invested $10 million in the construction of a new plywood production plant in Ukraine based on Wood Industries.[12] In June 2025, Onur Group Ukraine doubled its investment plan in Ukrainian "green" energy - up to $450 million by 2030.[13][14]
In June of the same year, the company invested €35 million in the construction of its first premium residential complex, Kavalier Park Apartment, in Lviv.[15] Onur Group is also building 50 MW of solar power plants in Vinnytsia Oblast and 164 MW of storage batteries worth over $60 million.[1]
Onur Group Ukraine is among the three largest road construction contractors in Ukraine,[16] and among the 20 largest alternative energy players.[17][18]

Social activity
In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, Onur Group allocated 10 million hryvnias to support doctors. Particularly, by purchasing mobile X-ray systems and other medical equipment, as well as personal protective equipment for doctors in the Lviv region.[24][25][26] Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has donated over $16 million in aid to Ukraine for humanitarian and defense needs.[27]
During the 2023 Earthquake in Turkey, Onur Group has provisioned construction machinery, specialized equipment and humanitarian aid.[28]
According to the NV publication's rating, the company was included in the list of Ukraine's largest donors.[29]
In 2025, Onur Group allocated over one million dollars to create an integrated space for veteran rehabilitation in Ukraine. and 29 million hryvnias to create a new modern prosthetic center "Human Titans" in Kyiv together with the charity organization Life Bridge Ukraine, with the support of Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner and the Kyiv City State Administration.[30]
Onur Group provides scholarships to more than 3,000 students. In addition, the company owners have shown the importance they attach to the upbringing processes of children, who are our future, and our youth and students by donating the Düriye Çetinceviz Preschool Education Center with a closed area of 1,450 m2 and the Emin Çetinceviz Central Library with a closed area of 5,407 m2 to Ordu University in their hometown.[31]
Internationally, the company has been organizing the TOUR de ONUR cycling race in Ukraine annually to unite active young people worldwide and support them.[32][33]
