Opeyemi Enoch

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Opeyemi Enoch is a Nigerian scholar, academic and a Professor of Mathematics at the Federal University Oye Ekiti.[1] He shot into worldwide recognition after claiming to have solved the Riemann hypothesis –one of the Millennium Prize Problems stated by the Clay Mathematics Institute– during his presentation at the 2015 International Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science in Vienna, Austria.[2][3][4] Enoch's proof has since been criticized as "fake" and "a hoax",[5][6] with Clay Mathematics Institute refusing to verify Enoch's claims.[7]
