Opotek is an American manufacturer of tunable lasers.[1] It is based in Carlsbad, California.[2][3][4]

Opotek's product line includes standalone OPO modules and scientific instruments used in diagnostics, hyperspectral imaging, spectroscopy, and photoacoustics.[5][6] Over the years, its products have been used in research by various organizations.[7]

History[edit]

Opotek was founded in 1993. It is known for introducing the first broadband visible optical parametric oscillator (OPO) laser systems in the U.S.[8][9]

In 2008, Opotek introduced a tunable laser system series named the Opolette HR series.[10]
