Original Diving is a British luxury travel company based in London that specialises in tailor-made scuba diving holidays. It operates as a division of the tour operator Original Travel and creates diving holidays for individuals and groups.[1][2]

History

Original Diving was established as a division of Original Travel, a company founded in 2003 by Nick Newbury, Tom Barber, and Alastair Poulain.[3] In April 2010, Original Travel began a joint initiative with author Tim Simond to launch a dive-travel division called Dive in Style.[2] The division was named after Simond’s best-selling book Dive in Style.[4] In 2012, it was renamed as Original Diving.[5]

In 2017, French travel group Voyageurs du Monde acquired a 60 percent stake in Original Travel, the parent company of Original Diving.[6]

In 2020, Original Diving won “Best Luxury Diving Holiday Agency – UK” at the LUXlife Travel & Tourism Awards.[7]
