Ortinel Gakona, professionally known as Ortinel G, is an Australian Christian hip hop artist from Perth, Western Australia.
Biography[edit]
Ortinel G was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and raised in Perth, Western Australia. Despite being born and raised in the church, Ortinel would have an encounter with Jesus in his teenage years that would shift the trajectory of his life. His breakout single "Microwave" was a song based on the parable of Jesus about the two foundations, in which a man decides to build his house on unstable ground without thinking about the storms of life resulting in disaster. From early on in his career, Ortinel has stood out in the Australian hip hop industry due to his unique blend of hip hop and theology.
