Otomachi Una

Otomachi Una (Japanese: 音街ウナ), alternatively called Una Otomachi, is a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Internet Co., Ltd. in collaboration with MTK Inc. and was released in July 2016 for the Vocaloid 4 software.[1] Later on 20 April 2017, a speech bank was released for Talk Ex (also known as 製品紹介 TalkEX). Then on 11 November 2020, a Voiceroid 2 version of the talk bank was announced to be in development. The character is voiced by professional voice actress Aimi Tanaka.

    The character's name comes from the Japanese words for sound, (音/おと/oto), town, ((街/まち/machi), and eel (鰻/うなぎ/unagi [in reference to the character's hat]).

    History[edit]

    On 30 June 2016, a teaser trailer was released on the Otomachi Una YouTube channel showcasing the voicebanks Sugar and Spicy. On 30 July 2016, YAMAHA released the Otomachi Una software for sale for the Vocaloid 4 program.

    Later on 15 March 2017, another trailer was uploaded onto the YouTube Channel featuring a new design for Otomachi Una in the Talk Ex program which is owned by AH-Software Co. Ltd.

    On 11 November 2020, the Otomachi Una Voiceroid 2 module was revealed, and was eventually released on 11 December 2020.
