Our Lady of the Rock (Italy)
Our Lady of the Rock (also known as Our Lady of the Day, not to be confused with Lady of the Rock) is a Marian apparition reported to have occurred on July 14, 1494, in Verghereto, Italy, to two girls who saw the Virgin Mary on a boulder. The apparition has not been approved or denied according to Canon Law; however, an Oratory exists on the site of the Marian apparition. Similar to Our Lady of Lourdes, the site has allegedly miraculous properties as the girls were cured of their disabilities after the apparition.[1]
The Oratory and site[edit]
The oratory is currently active.
Nearby[edit]
The town is also near the river source of the Tiber River, Mount Fumaiolo, which runs through Rome, where the Vatican is on the north bank.
