Ousha bint Khalifa Al-Suwaidi Award is an Emirati poetry award for Nabati poetry. It was launched in 2019 in conjunction with the UAE's International Women's Day, in honor of the Emirati poetess known as (The Girl of the Arabs)[1], who is considered one of the most important poetic figures in the UAE.[2] The award focuses on highlighting Nabati poetry in the Gulf region.[3] It is overseen by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in the UAE, and it was established and sponsored by Khalaf Ahmed Habtoor.[4][5] The value of the award is 300,000 AED, and it has four categories: the first honors a prominent Gulf personality with literary contributions, the second is for the best imitation of Ousha's poems, the third for the best recitation of one of her poems, and the fourth for the best literary study presented on her poetry.[6]
