PANTHEON.tech (PANTHEON.tech s.r.o., formerly known as Pantheon Technologies s.r.o.[1]) is a research & development company, focused on the research of network technologies and software prototyping[2]. Its fields of expertise & contributions within networking include open-source technologies, such as ONAP, Vector Packet Processing, FD.io, or CNCF.[3]

It is one of the largest contributing companies to the source code and tools of OpenDaylight,[4][5][6] a collaborative project, hosted by The Linux Foundation. The company also provides consulting, integrated solutions and support for this software. The company is also the developer of a partly-proprietary, partly open-sourced[7] SDN toolkit, based on OpenDaylight, called lighty.io. Furthermore, it closely cooperates with the IETF[8][9] on improving and creating network & Internet standards[10].

History[edit]

PANTHEON.tech was founded by Tomáš Jančo and a friend.[11] The company started with software development, up-cycling hardware, server, and ATM programming, system integration and consulting - until it settled on developing network technologies. In 2005, Janka Jančová joined the company as co-owner and CFO of the company.

In 2009, the company expanded into Silicon Valley, United States of America. Since 2015, the company has expanded into two further cities in Slovakia - Banská Bystrica & Žilina.[12] Its headquarters are located in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The company is a silver member[13] of The Linux Foundation. In 2019, the company presented a joint demo with Orange[14] at the annual Open Network Summit 2019 called "TransportPCE: SDN controller and simulators for WDM optical networks (OpenDaylight, FD.io, Open ROADM, lighty.io)".
