PMU Partenaire is a french horserace betting company in charge of the development of the PMU in Africa [1]. PMU Partenaire is responsible for the promotion and the commercialisation of french horse races in common pool.
History[edit]
Creation[edit]
PMU Partenaire was created in 2016 by Yves Vatelot[2] and the PMU to promote PMU's international common pool in Africa.
Evolution and countries linked to the common pool[edit]
In 2017, PMU Partenaire launched partnerships with Seychelles[3], Madagascar[4] and Mauritius[5] then in 2018 with Tchad[6] and the Republic of the Congo[7] · [8] . These countries offer to their punters bets on french horse races. In accordance to the parimutuel betting's principles, partner countries divid after-tax stakes between winners according to ratios calculated by the PMU.
PMU Partenaire has for ambition to continu its expansion in other African countries as Mozambique, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon or Gabon.[2]
Bet range[edit]
Horse racing bets offered are from PMU's bet range. The flagship product is the Quinté+ which the principle is to find the first 5 horses in the correct order. It is also available in Spot. SpOt lets the computer chose the combinaison for the punter.
