Pure Energy Limited, also called PURE, is a start-up in Hyderabad, India. It makes battery energy storage systems and electric vehicles. IIT Hyderabad professor Nishanth Dongari and his IIT Bombay friend Rohit Vadera started it in 2018.[1] The company has its main office in Hyderabad, India. [2]
IIT Hyderabad incubated and developed PUR Energy under the supervision of professors and scientists.[3][4]DRDO chief G. Satheesh Reddy and NITI Aayog scientist V. K. Saraswat launched Pure EV's EPluto 7G.[5]
Pure Energy works in three areas: PuREPower, PURE EV, and lithium storage batteries. Its factory is in Hyderabad. PURE EV makes electric vehicles, PuREPower offers power backup products, and lithium storage batteries support renewable energy.
Pure Energy is a start-up from IIT Hyderabad, founded in 2015 by two IIT Bombay friends, Dr. Nishanth Dongari and CEO Rohit Vadera.[3][2] They wanted to create a company focused on clean energy, offering solar energy storage, lithium batteries, and electric vehicles. They began making lithium batteries in 2018.[6][7]
