Pablo Cosgaya is an Argentine graphic designer, type designer, and professor. Pablo Cosgaya was born on August 30, 1965, in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. He is an alumnus of the National University of Rosario.

Since 1999, Cosgaya has been a professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism (FADU) at the University of Buenos Aires. He teaches Typography 1 and 2 as part of the Graphic Design program.

In addition to his undergraduate teaching, Cosgaya has been a lecturer in the Typography Design Specialization program at UBA since 2009, where he teaches the "History of Typography in Latin America and Argentina." He has delivered lectures and workshops on typography and design both domestically and internationally, including in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, and Uruguay.

Pablo Cosgaya has designed numerous typefaces, many in collaboration with other designers, and distributed through Omnibus Type, an independent type foundry. His most notable typefaces include Sansita, Bahiana, Barrio, Archivo Black, and Asap, some available at Google Fonts. He has also worked on multilingual typeface projects, including Archivo Narrow Devanagari and Asap Symbol.

Beyond type design, Cosgaya has contributed to editorial and visual identity projects. His work includes the redesign of publications such as Acción (the newspaper of the Instituto Movilizador de Fondos Cooperativos), Le Monde diplomatique (Spanish-language edition), and El Ciudadano (a daily newspaper in Rosario). He has also developed visual identity systems for various institutions, including the Municipality of Rosario and the Centro Cultural Parque de España (CCPE).

Cosgaya has been actively involved in various professional organizations and initiatives related to typography and design. He served as Argentina’s delegate to the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI) from 2009 to 2010. He is also a co-founder of Tipos Latinos, the Latin American Typography Biennial, which promotes and celebrates type design across the region.

In addition, Cosgaya is a Graphic Design Advisor at the Espacio Memoria Design Center and a member of the Scientific Committee for Diseña, an academic journal published by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
