Palki Sharma Upadhyay is Journalist, News Anchor, and Editor at World is One News (WION). She hosts India's only international news and views prime time show called 'Gravitas'.[1] She had worked in journalism for eleven years with CNN-IBN before she moved to WION. She was born on Saturday, May 29, 1982 at Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She is also a fashion designer. Aspiring to be a fashion designer, she came up with a designer Sari brand called Reyva.[2][1][3]

Palki S Upadhyay was born on Saturday, May 29, 1982 at Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She hails from Delhi, India. She also a designer. She wanted to be a designer, and so it finally began, and she came up with a designer Saree brand called Reyva. She Completed her Master's Degree in communication and Journalism from ICG Institute for Educational Research & Development Alliance Francaise de, Delhi. She married to Sanket Upadhyay in 2008 and at present she has one daughter. Her Favourite attire has been Sari.[4]
Career[edit]
- In 2002, she started her career by appearing on India's largest broadcasting television network- Doordarshan as a news anchor, where she hosted for the regional and national channel. She was also assigned the tasks of shortlisting, formatting and writing stories on current affairs at Doordarshan.
- In 2004, she joined Hindustan Times as Staff Writer and wrote stories on civic and social issues. She worked there for one year and handled tasks such as giving film reviews, copy-editing segments of the Jaipur edition.
- In May 2005, she entered India's largest English-language news television channel- CNN-News18 as an Anchor and Senior Editor. For over 10 years, she anchored various news and chat shows; interviewed various famous personalities of the country including cabinet ministers, opposition leaders, business heads, social activists, artists, authors, sports stars, film stars, and young achievers; did writing, formatting, and presentation work; reviewed books for IBNLive.com, and conducted live online chats related to various current affairs and public interest.
- She has also reported on Iraqi refugees and Tibetans in India and conducted the Obama's presidential campaign.[5]
- Later she joined WION news channel.[6]

She has been done prominent work in the field of journalism. She has taken interviews of many world famous personalities like as Armenian President, Prevez Mushraff, Sri Lankan Former Prime minister Ranil Wickremesinghe[9] Colambian President[10] Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman[11] etc.[12]
