Panjabi Hit Squad consist of members Dee & Rav, British Asian artists formally signed to the UK imprint of the hip-hop giant, Def Jam.

Broadcasting career[edit]

BBC 1Xtra[edit]

Panjabi Hit Squad formerly presented a weekly radio programme on BBC 1Xtra until 2009. The show included new music from the UK and based on music influenced from the south Asian subcontinent known as Desi Beats [1]

BBC Asian Network[edit]

Panjabi Hit Squad present a weekly radio programme every Saturday from 18:00-21:00 on the BBC Asian Network playing hip-hop, R&B, bhangra and Bollywood.[2]

Emirates[edit]

Panjabi Hit Squad host a mix show on the ICE (Information, Communication, Entertainment) in-flight entertainment system operated by Emirates.[3]

Awards[edit]

Panjabi Hit Squad won EASTERN EYE AMA for Best Radio DJ at the UK Asian Music Awards 2005. [4] In 2012 Panjabi Hit Squad were awarded The Best Club DJ Award at the UK Asian Music Awards[5]
