Panya pharmed Inc. (Persian: شرکت پانیا فارمد) is a private company based in Tehran, Iran. Founded in 2008, the company is currently one of the reputed importers of finished pharmaceutical products in terms of sales and number of products imported.[1][2] Formed subsequent to the Ministry of Health decision to privatize the Iranian pharmaceutical sector, the company imports and markets generics and patented pharmaceuticals from a number of international pharmaceutical manufacturers. Panya pharmed is a young company and claims to have the most growth operation of any Iranian drug firm. Panyapharmed is a subsidiary of Pershana, whose roots date back to the year 1992, when its chemical base, called "Pershana," was structured.[3] Panyapharmed currently involves registration, importation, and marketing of prescription and consumer healthcare products.[4]
