Pardeshi Rajput

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Pardeshi Rajput (also known as Pardeshi Bhamta, Bhamta Rajput, Bhamti, or simply Pardeshi) is a caste of Rajputs primarily found in Nashik, Solapur, Pune, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, Akola, Amravati, and many other districts of Maharashtra.[1] They are descended from the Rajputs of North India, and their name "Pardeshi" literally means "outsider" in Hindi.[2] It is said that after the Rajputs from various states of North India settled in Maharashtra, they came to be known as Pardeshi (outsider). They speak Marathi language.[3][4]
