Partner Assessment Corporation, or doing business as Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. (Partner), is an engineering, environmental and energy consulting firm founded in 2007 and based in Torrance, California. Partner specializes in evaluating properties in connection with real estate transactions, development or management. Partner’s executives consist of Joseph P. Derhake (CEO), Monique Burrola (COO), Marc Goldberg (CFO), and Frank S. Romeo Jr. (President). Currently, Partner has over 1,000 employees in 40 offices throughout the US and Europe. Partner serves clients ranging from the private to the public sector. On August 18, 2011, Partner was contracted by the Irvine Public Works Department to conduct remediation and restoration work on what used to be El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.[1]. Partner hired around 160 industry professionals in between July and December of 2020 in order to meet demand in 2021[2]

In 2009, Partner acquired LandAmerica Assessment Corporation[3], the environmental due diligence division of Fortune 500 LandAmerica Financial Group, and also acquired the environmental site assessment practice of US-Reports[4]. In 2011, Partner purchased Continental Surveying, a national land survey coordinating firm[5]. In 2013, Partner acquired select assets and retained several key personnel of Birdsall Services Group, a regional engineering, design and consulting firm, in a sale of $5.6 million which was approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Michael Kaplan[6][7][8]. In 2016, Partner acquired Azimi Pearsall & Associates, a land surveying and civil engineering firm[9]. The most recent acquisitions are Nevada Construction Services (NCS) in 2018, ECO Advisors in 2019, MC Consultants in 2020, and Kelleher Boyd & Associates in 2020[10][11][12][13].
About the Acquisitions[edit]
Kelleher Boyd & Associates is a roof consultancy serving real estate owners throughout the western U.S. The roof and building envelope consulting team has more than doubled in staff post Partner's acquisition.
NCS is a construction control service company in Nevada that specializes in a range of construction control services including Voucher Control, Inspection and Pre-Construction Feasibility.
The Florida-based Eco Advisors team consists of industrial hygiene, health and safety professionals to undertake regional services.
The Arizona-based MC Consulting team consists of asbestos and lead project experience professionals. MC has completed over 6,700 asbestos/lead projects in the last 2 years.

Partner ranked No. 4,933 on Inc.com’s list of 5,000 Fastest-growing private companies in America as of August 11, 2021 and ranked 147 out of 500 on Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 500 Design Firms list for 2021[14][15]. Partner has been ranked on this list for 9 consecutive years[16].
