Early and personal life

Parul Chawla was born in north India and raised in Shimla. Her father, DK Chawla, was a well-known producer in the Hindi film industry and known for films like Sahibaan and Apne desh paraye log, and her mother, Sukarma Chawla, is an educationist and a film producer. Her mother is a singer and an active participant in the dance, drama, song and culture of State Himachal Pradesh. Parul Chawla is an Alumna of Auckland house school Shimla and was a Vice house captain. Later, she graduated in English honors from St. Bede's college Shimla and with a post-graduation in English Literature from Himachal Pradesh university and Journalism in Mass communications from IGNOU and travel, tourism and Fashion from ITFT.

As a CMD, Picture ‘N’ Kraft, Parul Chawla, a media, communications, Films, Entertainment and events professional, has had a decade-two-old dynamic stint with the world of media, entertainment, fashion, sports, real estate, lifestyle and events. This body of work represents a perfect blend of corporate and individual. Leveraging her creativity and business acumen, she has worked for a host of Indian and international clients catering to diverse requirements such as advertising, public relations, brand/ celebrity management, sponsorship, marketing, Film distributions media and communication strategy and event management amongst others. As a solution provider, she has worked with all the corporate entities, corporations, production houses and individuals in India belonging to a wide host of domains. Parul Chawla has been actively involved in strategic planning, media direction and executing Public Relations and marketing strategies for over 100 films and music albums & singles. She assisted her Father D.K. Chawla in these films. She is actively involved in film distribution, marketing followed by content syndication and production of film based programs for the overseas market including marketing of films.
