Passfindr is a web based Freemium Personal knowledge base, Password manager and Bookmark manager application to securely store passwords and other sensitive information in a virtual vault locked with individual master passwords.[1] Passfindr has pricing models for individuals and families.
Overview
Passfindr was introduced in 2001 as Pathfinder, releasing their first web based application that included a cloud based bookmark manager. Over time, more features were introduced to the application such as:
- Visual content editor
- Encryption of user created content with a unique 256-bit AES key derived from the user's master password using PBKDF2
- Password generator
- Full-text search of all text content
- Two-factor authentication via authenticator apps
- Progressive web application to allow content decryption when offline
- Content publishing, tagging and cross linking
- Link checker
- Reminders
Passfindr does not offer auto-fill login information into websites. This feature is discussed controversially.[2][3][4][5]
