Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire is a county far in the south-west of Wales. It borders Ceredigion (via the River Teifi) and Carmarthenshire.
It is largely rural, though there are some towns such as Haverfordwest and Milford Haven. Pembrokeshire also has the cathedral city of St Davids, the smallest city in the UK by population.
Two key features of the county are the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Daugleddau estuary.
Pembrokeshire is split by the Landsker line into two parts: the northern areas towards the Preseli Hills which speak predominantly Welsh, and the southern areas which speak predominantly English (Little England beyond Wales). This phenomenon dates back over 1000 years.
Pembrokeshire's main football club is Haverfordwest County AFC who play in the Cymru Premier, but there is also an established local league called the Pembrokeshire League.
Pembrokeshire is also the location of the westernmost point in Wales, the small island of Grassholm, near Skomer. The westernmost settlement is also in Pembrokeshire, being Treginnis near St Davids.
