Perla Lichi

Perla Lichi is an interior designer and author born on April 15,[1] 1963, in Mexico City.[2] She is currently a US citizen residing in Parkland, Florida.[3]

She started her career in fashion design early when she won a full scholarship to study Interior Design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.[4] In 1981, Perla became a student member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a professional member in 1991.[5] She was first licensed by the State Board of Architecture and Interior Design on July 10, 1990, by State Board of Properties.[6]

From the early ‘90s Perla Lichi has been doing business as Perla Lichi Design.[7] In 2004 she designed a Fort Lauderdale home for the basketball star Scottie Pippen.[8] This led to commissions from other sports celebrities, including Tebucky Jones, Jerome McDougal, Sidney Ponson, and Keyon Dooling.[9]

In 2009, Perla Lichi Design was commissioned for a project in Palm Island, Dubai (UAE), which launched more international projects, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kenya, and South Africa, and from there her clientele expanded in South Florida and worldwide.[10]

Her work has been highlighted in different shows and magazines around the world, such as Top Billing and Sun Sentinel.[11]
