Angelica Peddie (born April 11, 1997), known professionally as Petal Supply, is a Canadian musician, record producer, and DJ.[1]
Early life
Petal Supply was born on April 11, 1997.[2] In her youth, she attended Belmont Secondary School and performed at Victoria House Concert B with her older sibling. Her early musical influences include artists such as Kesha and Lady Gaga, video game soundtracks, and anime soundtracks.[3] Before entering the hyperpop scene, she was a member of Diamond Cafe, where she played the synthesizer and also performed live house music.[4][3] She cites her hyperpop influences as SOPHIE, Easyfun, and Laura Les of 100 gecs.[3]
Career
Petal Supply released her debut single, "Make It Real" on November 5, 2019, and released her debut EP, Hey on November 27, 2020.[5][6] In December 2021, NPR listed her single "1" on the list of "The Best Electronic Music of 2021."[7]
