Picxy is an Asian provider of stock photography; it is headquartered in Hyderabad, India. It was founded in 2018 by a trio which consisted of Jitendra Emmani, Vamsi Mannem and Satish V Madala. Picxy initially started off with its headquarters in Hyderabad and in time, expanded over to cities like Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata.

It caters to the needs of visual content in the form of collections and with a community of 21,000 photographers from all across India and other countries.The company aims to provide users online with visuals that lie in proper context to their content creation, marketing, business and advertising.
History[edit]
Founder and CEO of Picxy, Jitendra Emmani met co-founder and CTO of this company Vamsi Mannem, while studying at Northern Illinois University, back in 2016. The two noticed that they had aligned entrepreneurial interests, which led to their work at South Report. The two went on to create their first entrepreneurial venture Picxy and soon after, met their other co-founder and COO of the company, Satish V Madala and the three decided to base Picxy as a startup in Hyderabad.
Investments[edit]
In 2018, Picxy’s initial round of investments were raised from angel investors. In January 2020, Picxy raised an angel round of investments from Byju's CPO Ranjith Radhakrishnan, Aakrit Vaish, CEO of Jio Haptik, Angellist India and FirstCheque, among others. Picxy was also selected as one of the ten startups that were a part of Techstars Bangalore accelerator, class of 2020, where they also received funding.
Recent developments[edit]
Picxy hosts a photographer community - with over 21,000 photographers. The stock-image website licenses their visual content to online users which consists 1,000,000 ( one Million) Stock Photos. The team plans to expand their offerings to stock videos and vectors next.
Awards[edit]
Picxy was awarded by StartAP[1] as ‘Emerging Start Up of the Year’ in 2018.
